About Us

Thevar Art Gallery was born from devotion and a deep passion for traditional art.

Our journey began with a simple search for paintings of “Guru Bhagavan and Veerapathira Swamy” for home worship. When we couldn’t find artworks that truly reflected their spiritual essence, we created them ourselves—marking the beginning of our artistic path.

We then sought representations of the directional deities, and in their absence, created a unique series known as Ashtadhik Balagargal. Continuing this journey, we also developed paintings dedicated to Birth star deities. What began as a personal spiritual need gradually evolved into a deep commitment to art and cultural heritage.

Over time, we curated a rich collection of works from renowned artists such as C. Kondiah Raju, M. Ramalingam, P. Sardar, Sapar Bros, Raja Ravi Varma, Mulgaonkar, and S. M. Pandit. We have also created numerous artworks in collaboration with the distinguished artist S.Murugakani and other talented creators.

Today, Thevar Art Gallery proudly presents an extensive collection of 50–70-year-old vintage paintings and prints. Our collection features rare and devotional depictions of Lord Shiva, Vishnu, Ganesha, Murugan, Dattatreya, as well as Goddess Lakshmi, Saraswati, Durga, and Parvati.
